Upper Scioto

Upper Scioto Mitigation Bank

The Upper Scioto Mitigation Bank is an approximate 195-acre stream and wetland mitigation bank developed in Union County for use in Section 404/401 Clean Water impacts. Approximately 8,465 linear feet of stream channel were restored, including at least 3,100 linear feet re-established in previously drained landscape. Over 20,000 linear feet of drainage tile networks were disrupted or removed. Approximately 95 acres of upland and 94 acres of wetlands were re-established or restored with invasive species removal, native seed, over 111,000 woody plantings, and 11,300 live stakes. Design Engineer – Civil & Environmental Consultants, Contractor – Meadville Land Services and seeding/invasive management – Ernst Seed/Monarch Vegetation.
